Juvenile Welfare Board Scholarship

The purpose of Juvenile Welfare Board Scholarship is to provide assistance to eligible early childhood educators seeking to obtain an Preschool A.A. or B.S. in early childhood education at St. Petersburg College. Qualified applicants must be working full time (20 or more hours a week) for a licensed professional early childhood care and education center in Pinellas county, be a Pinellas county resident and have a GPA of 2.0 or better.

  7. I understand and acknowledge that if my employment is terminated, I am responsible for reporting the termination to SPC and that any future receipt of scholarship funds through the Juvenile Welfare Board Scholarship will be forfeited.
  8. I attest that I intend to remain employed in a child care setting which serves children ages 0-5 years for a minimum of one year after I complete the Scholarship Program.
  9. I understand that a Withdrawal or incomplete in a Scholarship Program course, or earning a grade lower than “C”, will disqualify me from continuing to receive scholarship funds through the Juvenile Welfare Board.
  10. I understand that my name, amount of scholarship, and grades/GPA will be reported to JWB and the St. Petersburg College Foundation, Inc.
  11. I understand and acknowledge that if I'm selected to receive this scholarship I will need to re-apply each semester to upload a recent paycheck stub or an official letter on director letterhead stating I am still employed at a licensed child care facility in Pinellas County.
